This energy is typically supplied by the motorcycle&#8217;s stator (part of the engine&#8217;s flywheel that generates electricity).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Timing signal:<\/strong> A trigger coil (often called a &#8216;pickup coil&#8217;) senses the position of the crankshaft as it rotates.
